The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, adheres to the values of human dignity, equality and living together with respect and honor in a multicultural society, meaning a society with diversity of gender, physical condition, ethnicity, religion, beliefs and political ideologies as well as social, economic and cultural statuses.

The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, adheres to the values of human dignity, equality and living together with respect and honor in a multicultural society, meaning a society with diversity of gender, physical condition, ethnicity, religion, beliefs and political ideologies as well as social, economic and cultural statuses. The Faculty of Law recognizes the benefit of creating a space for students and personnel to feel safe, accepted, honored and be fully able to improve personal capacity as humans. Therefore, the Faculty of Law hereby makes the following declaration to confirm the aforementioned values with the following policies in specific areas:

Gender Diversity

The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, is committed to creating a safe space for students and personnel with gender diversity in every dimension such as sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) and the Faculty does not accept discriminating, insulting, stigmatizing, hateful and disrespectful actions by issuing the following policies:

1. The Faculty will review and revise practices of the Faculty of Law in the areas of requests for personal data of students and personnel, dress codes and use of language in various occasions to be consistent with the values of respect for gender diversity.

2. The Faculty will provide education for students and personnel on the issue of gender diversity and guidelines for living together with dignity such as at student and personnel orientations, etc.

3. The Faculty of Law supports academic activities and student clubs and activities in the area of gender diversity.

4. The Faculty of Law supports revision and development of laws to create gender equality.

5. The Faculty of Law confirms the value of respect for gender diversity in websites including in notifications or advertisement media of the Faculty of Law at various occasions such as acceptance of personnel applications to work or study in the Faculty of Law’s courses, etc.

6. The Faculty of Law monitors and assesses results based on the principle of participation and empowerment of students to change.

7. Complaints are accepted by the Audit and Equality Committee if a person is discriminated against, insulted, stigmatized, hated or disrespected for reasons stemming from gender diversity.
